Survey management

AIMS Surveyor provides an easy and efficient process to enter survey information and manage this data for multiple clients and sites. All survey related data is stored in the system in addition to any supporting documents, drawings and photos. Sample details are also recorded and the process of ensuring all sample are returned from a laboratory and entered into the system can be managed. The data entry process ensures the data entered into the system is valid with the material assessment automatically calculated using the MDHS 100 guidelines.

Survey report generation

Tailored, customised and professional survey reports can be generated in their entirety at the click of a button using AIMS Surveyor. This enables surveyors to concentrate on their job of surveying rather than sitting in an office compiling survey reports.

A number of methods for designing survey reports are possible including the use of Word/Excel templates and using the in-built report designer included in the system. Survey reports can be generated in any format including popular Office formats and PDF.

Different survey report designs can be used for different clients with any additional information also created. Some examples of what clients may require are listed below and all are possible using AIMS Surveyor:

• A hard copy of the survey report and an electronic PDF copy
• A hard copy of the survey report and an electronic copy in Word with the data in an Excel spreadsheet so the client can sort and filter the information themselves
• A hard and electronic copy of the survey report and a data file in a specific format to import into their asbestos management system
• A hard and electronic copy of the survey report and a database containing the survey information

Ongoing asbestos management tasks

AIMS Surveyor includes an integrated calendar which shows upcoming inspections and any remedial works planned. Built-in reports and alerts can be set up to flag these events to the appropriate people. The results from any work (including supporting documents and photos) can be fed back into the system ensuring the data in the system is up to date. Any documentation that needs to be generated for the client can be generated from the system in a similar fashion to generating survey reports.

Comprehensive asbestos management services

AIMS Surveyor enables surveying companies to cater for any requirements a client may have in regards to their existing asbestos management process including any software used. AIMS Surveyor also enables surveyors to offer solutions to their client’s asbestos management needs if it is required or improve on their current processes. AIMS Surveyor can be used to produce survey and register data in a format which can help clients manage the asbestos in their buildings e.g. Excel based management workbooks, standalone database systems.

For larger, more complex buildings, and for clients with multiple sites, surveyors can offer their clients the features of AIMS Dutyholder which is the sister product to AIMS Surveyor can offers building managers a number of tools to help them comply with their asbestos management duties (e.g. risk assessments, managing ongoing inspections and remedial works, enabling access to those who may work on or with materials in their buildings). The exchange of information between surveyor and client when using AIMS Surveyor and Dutyholder is efficient and gives the surveyor another string to their bow of the services they offer their clients.
